GW JOLT is open for article submissions. Submitted articles are considered for publication in the Journal’s inaugural Spring 2025 issue. The submissions cycle for that issue is rolling and closes April 5, 2024.
All article submissions are processed through Scholastica.
The George Washington Journal of Law & Technology (“GWJOLT”) is an independent, online-only journal of legal scholarship and the flagship student-run technology law review at The George Washington University Law School.
Next spring, GWJOLT will publish its inaugural issue and seeks contributions from leading scholars, practitioners, and policymakers on topics that address critical issues arising at the nexus of law and technology in the fields of intellectual property, privacy, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital health, online social media, behavioral advertising, and other existing and emerging areas of technology-related law.
The editorial board of GWJOLT carefully reviews submitted articles and prepares them for publication in each of the two issues the journal publishes every year. Each selected article will undergo a rigorous multi-level review before final author review and publication.
GWJOLT aims to match the national and international circulation and recognition of its peer and predecessor technology law journals. It seeks to become a leading forum near our nation’s capital for academic debate, policy discussion, and cross-disciplinary legal discourse on emerging issues at the technology frontier.
We accept articles between 15,000 and 30,000 words. In limited cases, exceptions may be made.
Thank you for your interest in publishing with GWJOLT.
